Dramatic bright eyes.

Today I decided to try something a bit different and out of my comfort zone, I decided to use colours on my eyes (something I very very rarely do, especially something this bright) But I actually love it! I only used two different colours, to create this look; a beautiful Magenta pink and one of the most gorgeous Turqoise eyeshadows I have ever come across. I love the contrast in the colours, and how they really compliment each other, and make each other really pop. To create this look I started off using a primer all over my lid, up onto my brow bone, just to ensure the colours last, and stay where they were put. I then placed some tape from the corner of my eyebrow down to my bottom lashline so that I could create a very distinct and clean line. I then took a large fluffy blending brush and the Magenta pink shadow, and really blended it up over my crease, and against the tape line, I continued to blend the colour down onto the centre of my eyelid, once I was happy with the shape I took a smaller blending brush with the turqoise shadow and placed it right on the inner corner of my eye and onto the first third of my lid, and then again on the outer third of my eyelid, blending it really well into the shadow on the centre of my eye. I then took Maybellines gel liner and ran it across the edge of the tape and onto the outer third of my eye, and then went in with Benefits 'they're real' primer and mascara on my lashes.
To do my face I used a stippling brush to apply my foundation and then went in with a very light under eye concealor and pulled that up across my cheekbones, I then used a loose transparent powder and placed it heavily over the concealor to bake it into my skin, after 5-10 minutes I wiped off the excess powder and continued with my highlighting; on my chin, cupids bow, down the bridge of my nose and the centre of my forehead, and set it with powder to keep it in place, I then started my contour, placing it from the top of my ear across my face until it was in line with the arch in my brow, and then went in with a large blending brush, to make the line more natural, I then contoured my forehead, jawline and my nose. I used a lovely pink blusher to tie in with my eyes, and then used a shimmery highlighter across the top of my cheekbones to blend in the blusher and to really make my cheekbones stand out. I then placed a small amount of the highlighter across my brow bone, and on the very tip of my nose. I then went in with the same eyeshadows and gently lined my undereyes, in the same sequence as the top lid, and finished my eyes off with some mascara on my bottom lashes, just to tie the whole look together.
For my lips I used two different shades of lipstick to create an ombre lip, I did this by lining my lips with the darker shade, and lightly blending it in towards the centre of my lips, I then went in with the lighter shade and placed it on the very centre of my lips and gently rubbed my lips together to blend them nicely.
I am so so happy with how this look came out, it's so outgoing and different to how I would normally wear my makeup, so it was really nice to see how I could look. I love that I chose to use a bold colour on my lips as well, as it makes the look more fun and dramatic.
